St. John Theatre Summer CHildren’s Workshop 2025
St. John Theatre will present a children’s drama workshop May 27 – June 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the theater, 115 W. Fourth Street., in Reserve. Children having completed kindergarten through fifth grade may attend.
Disney's The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world, and now you have the opportunity to produce this one-of-a-kind musical in your community. Bring the African savanna to life on your stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.
The Lion King KIDS features classic songs from the Broadway musical and animated feature film, including “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “He Lives in You,” and “Hakuna Matata.” Young performers will also get the chance to learn a wide range of new theatrical skills, encouraging them to explore this beloved story with creativity and pride.
The workshop operates weekdays from 9 am – 1 pm starting Tuesday May 27 through Friday June 6th.
Veteran director Kristen Brooks will direct the workshop and the production. Participants will present Disney’s The Lion King Kids June 7th at 2:30pm and 7pm
Your children will participate in crafts and games while taking part in the production.
Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. The cost is $100.00.
